Kris Anderson

Kris Anderson is a Licensed Certified Social Worker (AR# 3065-C). He earned his Bachelor's and Master’s degree in Social Work with an emphasis on Clinical Mental Health from The University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He has worked in a variety of settings from an inpatient acute treatment center to community mental health. Kris has mental health roots in this community going back to 2009. Kris is a Co-Founder of Counseling & Family Therapy Center and has been seeing clients there in private practice since early 2020.

Kris works primarily with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, personal crises, substance abuse issues, and issues related to the criminal justice system. Kris has a diverse clinical background working with acute, chronic, and severe mental illness in both inpatient and outpatient treatment settings. His extensive experience ranges from residential treatment, case management, crisis intervention, group treatment, and individual therapy. Kris offers hour-long therapy sessions at the clinic in Harrison and therapeutic mountain bike retreats (Psych Bike) throughout the Ozarks.

Kris lives in Harrison, Arkansas, with his wife of 16 years, their 2 sons, and 2 dogs. Outside of family and therapy, his interests include mountain biking, being an audiophile, food, reading, and traveling. 

Kris is the team director and head coach for the Harrison Composite Buffalo Riders with Arkansas NICA. He has worked as a therapist, case manager, waiter, gardener/landscaper, and in retail.
